once again by Creative New Zealand, Performing Arts Foundation of New
Zealand, Nelson Pine, Lion Foundation and several other sponsors.
In 2005, Willow Productions created Playing Miss Havisham, a solo play for Helen Moulder, with the help of Creative NZ. This piece has toured widely in NZ and Australia and has also played at the Dickens Museum in London and several Dickens’ societies in the UK and the USA.
In 2007, supported by CNZ. Cynthia Fortitude’s Farewell – her first was created with the Wellington Chamber Orchestra conducted by Michael Vinten. This has also played with the Hawkes Bay Orchestra and the New Plymouth Orchestra.
In 2008, A Vote for Cynthia, another solo piece for Helen Moulder was created. This has also toured widely in NZ, especially during election time.
Willow Productions also tours The Legend Returns, a comedy with music
about a fading opera diva and her long-suffering accompanist, with Helen
Moulder and Rose Beauchamp. Plans for the future include reworking Cynthia
Fortitude’s Farewell as a piece for soprano, tenor and pianist.
